Everything about how TrackCenter works, what it costs, accuracy, privacy, and the law — in plain English.

Frequently asked questions

How does TrackCenter locate a phone?

It queries carrier and network data tied to the phone number to estimate where the device is connected — using cell-tower triangulation, and GPS or Wi-Fi positioning where available. No app is needed on the device you're locating.

Do I need to install an app?

No. TrackCenter works from the phone number alone — there's nothing to install on your device or the device you're locating.

How accurate are the results?

Accuracy depends on network coverage. In dense urban areas results can pinpoint a block or building; in rural areas the area is broader. Every result comes with a confidence indicator.

How long does a search take?

Most searches return a result in about two minutes.

Is phone tracking legal?

TrackCenter is built for lawful, consent-based use — locating your own device, your minor child's device, or checking the region of a number calling you. You are responsible for complying with the laws where you live. See our Legal Use policy for details.

Is my search private?

Yes. Every request is encrypted with 256-bit SSL, and we operate a zero-knowledge policy — we don't store or share what you searched.

How much does it cost?

A flat $9 per search. See our Pricing page for exactly what's included in every search.

What if you can't find the number?

If a search returns no usable result, our 30-day money-back guarantee applies and we refund you in full.

Can I locate a phone that's turned off?

Not in real time — a powered-off phone can't be located live. You can usually see its last known location before it went offline, and set an alert for when it comes back online.

Do you work internationally?

Yes. TrackCenter supports numbers worldwide, though accuracy and coverage vary by country and carrier.
